Here is the information about the revised capstone tab on webCentral-University College. These revisions include:
- Updated Capstone Proposals and Project Guidelines
- Information updated to A manual for writers of research papers, theses, and dissertations: Chicago style for students and researchers (Turabian 2007). This manual is also simply called ‘Turabian’.
Here are some general reminders:
- The Capstone Proposals and Project Guidelines is the final authority for the capstone proposal and project.
- University College follows the Turabian parenthetical citations—reference list style (also known as author-date style) in A manual for writers of research papers, theses, and dissertations: Chicago style for students and researchers (Turabian 2007).This is also known as Turabian parenthetical citations (P) – reference list (R) style of documentation. DO NOT use notes (N) – bibliography (B).
- An application for graduation must be submitted no later than the first day of the term, two quarters in advance of the anticipated graduation date. Please make sure you plan accordingly.
- Advisors must approve the proposal before the student submits it to Student Services.
Please review the short tutorial on the changes to the tab.
